We build it better and we also choose to operate better. We believe that environmental stewardship is our responsibility. Versatile makes conscious choices to use sustainable materials, buy as much locally as possible and re-use and recycle. We heat our facility with our wood scraps, a system of grinders and furnaces heat the building throughout the winter. In summer when we do not need the wood scraps for heat all the material is ground down into fine wood chips which is then trucked out to local farms as animal bedding. We partner with local companies such as Beacon Recycling to haul of and recycle our metal scraps and also use environmentally friendly finishes and glues when possible. Our entire flat line finishing system is devoted to water based finishes.
